Welcome to Kivonet, a platform dedicated to connecting service members and alumni in Nigeria and Ghana for friendships, personal connections, and career opportunities. By accessing or using Kivonet (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using Kivonet, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and agree to comply with these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and Community Guidelines. Kivonet is an independent, privately-owned platform and is not affiliated with any government agency.

2. Eligibility

To use Kivonet, you must:

Be at least 18 years of age.
Be a current or former service member or alumni from Nigeria or Ghana, or otherwise meet our verification criteria.
Provide accurate and complete information during registration and verification.
Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable laws.

3. Account Registration and Verification

Account Creation: You must create an account to access most features of Kivonet. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.
Verification Process: Kivonet requires users to verify their status as service members or alumni. You agree to provide truthful and accurate documentation during verification. Failure to comply may result in account suspension or termination.
Account Security: Notify us immediately at kivonetofficial@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

4. Use of the Service

You agree to use Kivonet solely for lawful purposes and in accordance with our Community Guidelines. You may not:

Use the Service to engage in illegal, harmful, or fraudulent activities.
Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any entity.
Share or distribute content that is offensive, defamatory, or violates the rights of others.
Attempt to bypass security measures or interfere with the Service's functionality.

5. User Content

Ownership: You retain ownership of content you post or share on Kivonet (e.g., messages, profiles). By posting content, you grant Kivonet a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, store, and display such content to provide the Service.

6. Text and Video Chat

Kivonet provides text and video chat features to facilitate connections. Video chats are monitored for safety and compliance with our Community Guidelines.
You agree not to record, share, or distribute video or text chat content without explicit consent from all parties involved.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, and materials on Kivonet, excluding user-generated content, are the property of Kivonet or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify such content without prior written consent.

8. Termination

Kivonet may suspend or terminate your account at its discretion, including for violations of these Terms, Community Guidelines, or applicable laws. Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease, and Kivonet may delete your account data subject to our Privacy Policy.

Kivonet is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
Kivonet does not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the Service.
Kivonet is not responsible for the actions, content, or conduct of users.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kivonet and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
