Kivonet is a platform for service members and alumni in Nigeria and Ghana to build meaningful connections. Our Community Guidelines ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all users. By using Kivonet, you agree to follow these guidelines.
1. Respect and Inclusivity
- Treat all users with respect, regardless of their background, beliefs, or experiences.
- Do not engage in harassment, hate speech, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, religion, or other protected characteristics.
- Foster a positive environment by being kind and supportive.
2. Safety in Interactions
- Text and Video Chats: Keep conversations appropriate and respectful. Do not share explicit, offensive, or illegal content.
- Reporting: Use the report flag icon on the page to report any inappropriate behavior or content immediately.
- Video Chat Monitoring: Video chats are monitored to ensure safety and compliance. Refrain from recording or sharing chat content without consent.
3. Authenticity
- Provide accurate information during registration and verification.
- Do not impersonate others or misrepresent your identity or service status.
- Use Kivonet for genuine connections, not for spam, scams, or unauthorized commercial activities.
4. Content Guidelines
- Share content that aligns with Kivonet’s mission of fostering friendships, personal relationships, and career opportunities.
- Do not post content that is defamatory, threatening, or violates the rights of others.
- Respect the privacy of other users by not sharing their personal information without consent.
5. Compliance with Laws
- Use Kivonet in accordance with all applicable local, national, and international laws.
- Do not engage in activities that promote violence, illegal substances, or other unlawful behavior.
6. Consequences of Violations
Violations of these Community Guidelines may result in:
- Temporary or permanent suspension of your account.
- Reporting to law enforcement if necessary.
7. Reporting and Support
If you encounter behavior or content that violates these guidelines, please use the report flag icon on the relevant page. We investigate all reports promptly and take appropriate action.
8. Updates to Guidelines
We may update these Community Guidelines periodically. We will notify you of significant changes through the Service. Continued use of Kivonet after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated guidelines.
